Professional Experience
Paul Steitz is CBRE’s Chief Strategy Officer. In this role, he leads a lean, fast moving team with the objective of delivering an outsized impact on the quality of the strategic choices CBRE makes as an enterprise (where to play/how to win). The team is intellectually independent, rigorous in data collection and analysis, and focused on projects that will move the needle for CBRE as a whole. He led an effort to refresh the company’s overall competitive strategy in 2016. Strategy projects in recent years have involved deep dives in several of CBRE’s key lines of business, geographic areas and functionals capabilities. Paul joined CBRE in September 2010.
Prior to business school and joining CBRE, Paul served on the professional staff of two congressional committees (U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging; House Ways and Means Committee, Subcommittee on Social Security). After business school, he worked for Monitor Company, a global strategy consulting firm, where he was a partner. Clients were Fortune 500 companies in a wide range of industries, including telecommunications, energy, retailing, technology, real estate and financial services. After leaving Monitor, he pursued entrepreneurial ventures in technology and investment management.
