Professional Experience

In 2013, D Bergin joined CBRE as Sales Director for their Puget Sound Office to oversee all reporting aspects related to managed brokerage and business planning, as well as provide a full-time management presence in the Bellevue Office.  D Bergin collaborates with the Managing Director to coordinate Real Estate/Brokerage Sales pursuits. Prior to joining CBRE, D Bergin was the Director of Operations for Cushman & Wakefield – Commerce for their Washington offices, and held several consulting roles for software development companies.

As Sales Director with CBRE, D Bergin’s current responsibilities are as follows:

  • Manages sales activity, pursuit lists, pipelines, and follow up reporting.
  • Assists brokers in identifying potential clients and finds connections to turn cold calls into warm calls for potential business opportunities.
  • Manages inbound referrals in collaboration with Managing Directors.
  • Coordinates with Managing Directors and marketing team on multiple service line pursuits.
  • Works alongside Managing Directors to ensure the best-suited players are on the field for every pitch/assignment, every time.
  • Coordinates targeted vertical pursuit strategies (e.g., MidCap Targets, Private Equity, Healthcare, and Non Profit Pursuits, outsourcing targets).
  • Provides for effective recruitment, selection, development, and performance management of Associates.
  • Leads training for Brokerage Associates in coordination with Managing Directors.
  • Evaluates and reports on industry and business trends in local market area for potential impact on sales team.
  • Develops and maintains external relationships with industry and trade associations, vendors, professional organizations, and local community leaders.
  • Manages business plan review, and alignment of focus with specific opportunities for the local market area.
  • Holds recurring meetings, develops prospecting lists, collaborates on pursuit strategies, and holds team accountable for results.
